I'm getting an error when I try to access my secure page. What is wrong?Solution:
You may receive a pop-up warning box when trying to access a secure page if the name on the certificate does not match the website your are visiting or if the secure certificate has expired.Be sure to check that the secure call has the correct path to the certificate. If the certificate is issued for a specific domain, be sure to check if the certificate is issued to the domain with the "www" or without. If the certificate is issued with the "www" then the call has to also contain the "www". For instance if your certificate is issued to www.domain.com, then the secure call should look like: https://www.domain.com.
If your secure call looks like https://domain.com, without the "www" it will generate an error when you try to access the page. The page will still be secure, however, this may deter some visitors from continuing, especially on an ecommerce site.
If you are using a shared certificate be sure that you are including the path to the certificate on the server level. For assistance, please contact our Technical Support Department through our online help desk at http://support.olm.net.
If the certificate has expired you can contact our Sales Department for instructions on how to renew. They can be reached at 800-741-6813 or sales@olm.net
