Is Miva better than osCommerce or Zencart?Solution:
The shopping cart you choose really depends on the scope and design of your online store. All of the shopping carts we offer are viable solutions. Miva Merchant is a highly customizable shopping cart environment that can handle multiple products, categories and a large number of products. Also, there are many third party modules that have been written for Miva Merchant to handle different shipping methods and cost calculations, tax calculations, etc.osCommerce and ZenCart are not quite as customizable and are better for smaller stores with a few primary products offered in different varieties (color, size, etc). If just starting out, you may want to try the free shopping cart available with your package so you can design and configure your store without the added expense of the Miva license.
